We’re so excited to continue this incredible journey into the new school year. Our students are shining bright, and our staff is working hard every day to create a safe, engaging, and joyful learning environment.📅 Important Dates This Month

- Sept. 15–19 – Fall Book Fair 📚
- Sept. 17 – School Site Council Meeting @ 3:45 PM
- Sept. 18 – Back to School Night (4:00–5:30 PM)
- Sept. 19 – Minimum Day • Fun Friday • ROARS and Attendance Awards, by invitation only
- Sept. 23 – Picture Day at RPU📸 • Board Meeting @ 6:00 PM (Mojave District Office)
- Sept. 25 – Unit 1 Assessments Begin (Attendance is important!)

📣 A Note from Principal Fiscus
I’m so proud of how smoothly our school year is progressing! Thank you for being part of the RPU family. My days are full of meetings, classroom visits, and planning, but please know I am always here to support your child and your family. If you need anything, feel free to reach out through our front office to make an appointment.✅ Attendance Matters
Thank you for helping us start the year strong with great attendance. A few reminders:- If your child will be absent, call the front office as early as possible, or fill out the attendance form: https://forms.gle/cQhpL7gQFk5gu3as6
- If your child is late, please sign them in at the office before they head to class.
- Regular attendance supports student success and helps them stay connected with their learning and classroom community.
🕒 School Hours
- TK & Kindergarten: 8:50 AM – 1:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
- 1st & 2nd Grades: 8:50 AM – 3:20 PM (Mon–Thurs)
- Fridays (All Grades): Minimum Day – Dismissal at 1:30 PM
☀️ Stay Cool & Hydrated!
We’re currently under a heat advisory, so please help your child:- Dress in light, weather-appropriate clothing
- Bring a refillable water bottle (we have hydration stations available!)
- Eat breakfast before playing outside
🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminders
Help us keep arrival and dismissal safe and smooth by:- Avoiding the fire lane and designated no-parking zones
- Following staff directions at the gate and crosswalk
- Treating all staff and families with kindness — we’re in this together!
🎉 Fun Fridays & Awards
Every Friday, we celebrate our students’ hard work and positive behavior! Some students will receive invitation-only awards for attendance, ROAR behavior, and classroom accomplishments. Keep an eye on your ParentSquare for invites and updates!📚 Book Fair Is Coming!
Mark your calendars for the Fall Book Fair – happening September 15–19! It’s a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading and support our school library.📸 Picture Day – September 23rd
